No plot details has been announced yet for the movie, which is being directed by Michael Chaves (The Curse of Llorona, The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It) and stars Taissa Farmiga, Taissa Farmiga, Bonnie Aarons, Katelyn Rose Downey and Storm Reid. Warner Bros. will release New Line Cinema production on September 8th. He is also teaming up with Anna Drubich to score the upcoming John Wick spinoff feature BALLERINA. The film is directed by Len Wiseman (Underworld: Evolution, Live Free or Die Hard) and stars Ana de Armas, Anjelica Huston, Lance Reddick, Gabriel Byrne, Norman Reedus, Catalina Sandino Moreno, Ian McShane, as well as Keanu Reeves. The action thriller follows the titular assassin trained in the traditions of the Ruska Roma as she sets out to avenge her family. BALLERINA is set to be released in theaters nationwide on June 7, 2024 by Lionsgate. 2023: September 28: SILENT NIGHT release date John Woo's upcoming SILENT NIGHT finally has release date announced. Distributed by Lionsgate, the film will be released on December 1st. So far there are no trailers and posters available and will be added as soon as anything changes. In other news RENFIELD vinyl release is being slightly delayed and is expected to be available on October 20th (previously announced release date was September 29th). 2023: August 31: THE NUN 2 score album released THE NUN II score album will be released tomorrow by Watertower Music. You can already check the full album details and first samples from the score on its project page: 2023: July 18: THE NUN 2 clips Few photos and more clips from THE NUN 2 sessions have been posted by music editor Angela Claverie on her instagram. 2023: July 13: THE NUN 2 sessions in progress Marco Beltrami is currently recording his score for THE NUN 2 at Abbey Road Studios in London. You can check first clip from the sessions on his instagram. 2023: July 07: THE NUN 2 first trailer released First trailer for upcoming THE NUN II has been released. The film is scheduled to be released on September 8th by Warner Bros. 2023: June 21: WORLD WAR Z 10th Anniversary Marco Beltrami celebrated 10th anniversary of WORLD WAR Z release by sharing one of his earlier attempts at Jerusalem sequence, which is quite different from the version heard in the finished film. Marco wrote: "There are always conceptual ideas that you work through that never quite make it into the movie. This cue is one such. I had a blast hanging with Joe at my studio and coming up with this piece alongside Buck Sanders. This track also features the fantastic Lili Haydn on electric violin and vocals. Ultimately the score in the film is more orchestral so its understandable why this wasn’t used. Even so, it was really fun writing and putting this together." Check Marco's instagram page to listen to this unique track and make sure to follow if you haven't already. 2023: June 10: RENFIELD vinyl edition announced Waxworks Records has announced vinyl release of Marco Beltrami's score for RENFIELD. The edition available as a deluxe 2xLP set featuring "Dracula Flesh & Blood" splatter colored vinyl, heavyweight gatefold packaging with new artwork by Phantom City Creative, and a printed 12"x12" insert is expected to be available on September 1st and can be already pre-order from label's website . You can check it below. 2023: April 18: RENFIELD interviews New interview with Marco discussing his work on RENFIELD has been released by Film Music Institute. You can also check the panel from the premiere also featuring Marco Beltrami with director Chris McKay and Producer Samantha Nisenboim.   2023: April 13: RENFIELD score released RENFIELD album details are now online including a few behind the scenes photos and audio samples. Check the project's page for details. The album featuring 61 minutes of original score will be available tomorrow from all usual digital stores. Vnyl edition is also in the works. 2023: April 07: RENFIELD score album announced & first clips With RENFIELD's release quickly approaching (only 1 week away) it has been confirmed the soundtrack album will be released digitally by Back Lot Music with vinyl edition coming from Waxworks Records. While the download version will be available next week on the same day the film opens in theatres worldwide, vinyl's specific release date is yet to be confirmed. You can check the new main titles on Youtube. 2023: February 28: THE FACULTY opens early After some confusion with it's release date, THE FACULTY has been released today and can be purchased from Intrada Records. Full album details had been added to the project's page and more purchase links will be added as well. In the meantime here is the press announcement: Premier 2-CD release of sizzling Marco Beltrami sci-fi horror score! Dimension Films presents in 1998, Robert Rodriguez directs, Kevin Williamson scripts, attractive cast features Jordana Brewster, Josh Hartnett, Elijah Wood, Clea DuVall, Robert Patrick, Piper Laurie, Shawn Hatosy, Salma Hayek, many others. The students at Herrington High School are rowdy crop, tough on each other and their teachers. Then without fanfare, they become targets of an alien virus that turns people into monsters. And unfriendly ones at that. Mayhem ensues. Beltrami was already a veteran of the horror genre, having scored dynamic music for Scream and Mimic for the same studio prior to The Faculty. For this intense and violent thriller, Beltrami scores for full orchestra in a dazzling display of aggressive action music requiring the players to provide numerous techniques with their instruments, from entrances at different times and pitches to uncommon bowing techniques, horn glissandi, detuned instruments and numerous other devices. Rhythms are fierce, the harmonic vernacular frightening. In balance, Beltrami also offers undercurrents of music oblivious to the alien invasion, a musical calm before the storm. Action highlights are many: “Offensive Coach” provides more than three minutes of riveting intensity, “Pop Pop Fizz Fizz” offers berserk orchestral fury, “Just Say No” builds to a dynamic rhythmic finish, “Standing Tall” is pure drama and action, “Zeke And The Geek” offers orchestral razzle dazzle, many others follow suit. “Love Me Tender” is especially exciting! Ditto “Modest Mary” and “Drugs Kill”. On the opposite side, Beltrami offers a strong theme for Casey and another for the student body as a whole. Special spotlight goes to “Lounge Lizards”, where Beltrami opens with his haunting minor key idea for Casey, slides into the broader student body theme, then works the music inexorably into musical chaos and action. When all is said and done, “The Kids Are Alright” ushers in the remaining student body to a rich development of their theme, leading to the closing powerhouse rhythmic treatment of the tune for “Extra Credit”. Two following cues offer an alternate version of “Casey” and Beltrami’s demo version of “Too Cool For School”. This scores packs fireworks! Tim Greiving provides informative booklet notes, Kay Marshall designs the dramatic packaging. Intrada Special Collection 2-CD set available while quantities and interest remain! 2023: February 23: PLANE score album released Filmtrax has announced score album for PLANE featuring roughly 53 minutes of the original score co-composed by Marco and Marcus Trumpp. The download edition is currently available on iTunes and full set of samples as well as complete album details will be added shortly.   2023: February 23: THE FACULTY first "official" release of the score Intrada Records will revisit their early promo of THE FACULTY with remastered and expanded 2CD edition. The previous version contained only about 40 % of the score. The content, audio clips and all the details will be revealed on Monday March 6th. 2023: January 14: PLANE in cinemas now and score album coming soon... While the movie has been released in cinemas this weekend, the score album has been confirmed and will be coming soon. Stay tuned for more information as soon as available. In the meantime here is a couple of clips featuring a little bit from the score.   2023: January 14: New project: RENFIELD Marco Beltrami has been hired and is set to record his score for upcoming horror comedy RENFIELD this weekend. Directed by Chris McKay (The Lego Batman Movie, Tomorrow War), the film centers on Renfield (Nicholas Hoult), who has grown sick and tired of his centuries as Dracula’s (Nicolas Cage) lackey. The henchman finds a new lease on life and maybe even redemption when he falls for feisty, perennially angry traffic cop Rebecca Quincy (Awkwafina). Based on the story by Robert Kirkman (Walking Dead) and screenplay by Ryan Ridley (Community, Rick and Morty), RENFIELD also stars Ben Schwartz, Shohreh Aghdashloo and Caroline Williams. McKay and Kirman are also producing the project together with David Alpert and Bryan & Sean Furst.
